Google Adsense hides URLs now

I wondered why my ad click tracking software wasn’t recording many clicks yesterday and today. I thought it might have been something I did but it seems that others are having the same problem but with Adlogger. It’s always been the case with Firefox that ads can’t be tracked. The browser stops the status bar being modified by Javascript by default. MSIE on the other hand displayed the advert’s URL. That seems to have stopped now.

This is going to be a pain as I won’t be able to filter out the low paying adverts. From Google’s perspective it doesn’t make sense. The spammy, low paying MFA sites can have free reign now as we won’t be able to track them. Grrr. I wonder how Adsblacklist will be able to survive if this is a permanent change.

On the upside, eCPM is up quite nicely, and might be because of this.
