November 5th 2007 ad filter update
Another update to the filter. If you’re still wondering if this is worth it, read Why you need the Adsense Competitive Ad Filter which explains why Google might not display the highest earning adverts on your site.
Once you’ve done that, grab the updated list and update your filter.

Nick - oops. I fixed the URL. It’s probably better to grab the list from the text file because WordPress replaces the dashes with another character that won’t match the offending url.

While my daily earnings are still pathetic they have increased about 100% - am fiddling with ad placement which also seems to be working - my eCPM has jumped dramatically though!

My earnings were beginning to get really low before I started using this list. It seems to have fairly good boost for me. I’m getting fewer impressions these days and making about the same money I was making before.

cats - yes, I saw several ads for shopping.yahoo.com and other yahoo sites. I think it’s been removed since but I need to examine the list again and update soon.

I’ve always appreciated the list you publish, but tracking it with my own, and that of others, has always been a pain for me.

If it helps you, great, if not, I’d really like to know where I can improve it so I can help others also.
I spent a whopping two weeks putting it together, and it’s just new today, so who knows where it will break. Be patient.
